inspiration

Ginger Steele so perfectly described pulling a handle that I was inspired to throw some larger cups and try it myself. As a hand builder pulling handles is something I never really learned and have attempted only a few times. I think I got it after the tenth cup. Check out Ginger Steele's blog- very informative and well done. It even inspired a cartoon and a photo.

Meet an OPA Member: Mel Perrigo

Three things about Mel that have nothing to do with clay.

1) She just started a cheesecake business!
2) She is deathly afraid of spiders and emits an unique yelp when they are encountered
3) She believes each month should contain a 'National Day of Dress-up' because Halloween is just not enough.

OPA General Meeting

Last Friday was a big night for OPA members. It was an evening to take care of business and catch up with members. Friday was dedicated to good food and for all OPA members that are participating in the upcoming Ceramic Showcase, it was the evening to pick your booth. First up, Janet Buskirk, followed by Ellen Currans and the rest of the membership. While everyone was waiting to choose, it was time to enjoy an amazing spread of food and chat, meet new members and enjoy everyone's company. It is an evening where we all get a chance to socialize, catch up with friends and meet members that many only know by name or the work that they do. New Member-at-Large, Tamara Bryan has taken on the role of OPA Photographer, enjoy the images that she captured during the evening.

2.They share that space with my husband, Stan, and my 16 year old Airedale,
Jake (my best friend and constant companion)

3.I love pancakes!
